If Something Happens to Me Legacy & Wishes Planner (Digital Download)
If something happened to you tomorrow, would your family know where to start?
Most families don't. They search drawers for the will and wonder what you would have wanted, all while they're grieving. This planner is a gentle, practical way to write it down once, in plain language, so the people you love aren't left guessing.
Go one section at a time. Ten quiet minutes is enough to make real progress.
Light or dark, your choice
Daylight is the bright, clean main version. Midnight is a free, softer dark-mode copy with the same features, gentler on the eyes for quiet evenings. Use whichever you like.
What's inside
- Legacy & Wishes Planner spreadsheet (.xlsx) for Excel and Google Sheets
- FREE: Midnight dark-mode version of the spreadsheet (same features)
- Printables (one .zip file): 16 undated pages in US Letter, A4 and Low-Ink, including a Start Here letter page for your family
- Quick-Start Guide (PDF)

FAQ
Is this a will or a legal document?
No. This planner is for organizing information only. It is not a will and does not replace one. Please talk to a licensed attorney about a will, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives and guardianship.
Is it safe to keep this information in a spreadsheet?
The planner never asks for account numbers, SSNs, PINs or passwords. Keep the file in a secure, password-protected place and store the printed pages with your important papers.
Is my organ donation choice official if I write it here?
No. Please also register with your state or national donor registry and tell your family.
Can I use it on my phone?
You can view and edit it in the Google Sheets app, but a computer is easiest for filling it in.
Not legal advice, and not tax or financial advice. This planner organizes information only.
Pairs well with our After a Loss Family Organizer, which helps the family with tasks, calls and paperwork afterward.
